About Neuro Rehab at Home




Inge obtained her basic training as an Occupational Therapist in Germany in 2001, received her Bachelors of Arts in Occupational Therapy in The Netherlands in 2005 and completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy Degree at the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2013.


Prior to her relocation to South Africa in 2005 and establishing the practice in 2006, Inge worked in Cologne, Germany as an assistant head of a unit in a sub-acute rehabilitation facility, including an in-house Intensive Care Rehab unit. There she worked with a multitude of clients who had sustained brain injuries. Back then, neurological rehabilitation became her passion and remained her passion throughout her professional career until today.


Inge’s desire to grow personally and professionally got her accepted in a scholarship program by the European Union in 2003. She had the opportunity to obtain work experience in Auckland, New Zealand, where she worked in a company that specialized on occupational therapy rehabilitation for traumatic brain injury survivors. Inge facilitated in-house trainings as well as conducted out-reach programs.


Inge believes in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care and rehabilitation and has been putting great efforts into establishing her practice in Cape Town since 2006. Together with her team of therapists, she has built a strong stand for Occupational Therapy within the clinical teams in the hospital as well as in the outpatient environment in Cape Town.


At Neuro Rehab at Home, the emphasis is on a holistic approach to health, incorporating all aspects of the person, the person’s living circumstances as well as his/her physical and social environment. Training families and caregivers are of great importance to Inge and her team in order to best address everyone’s needs.


Inge is a mother of a daughter born in 2010 and thoroughly enjoys the different roles fulfills, first of all as a mother but also as a practice owner, therapist, partner & friend.


Inge speaks German and English.
