Employment Analysis & Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE’s)

When a patient feels they are ready to return to work, we are able to perform a comprehensive functional capacity evaluation (FCE) and/ or a workplace analysis and assessment, which determines whether a patient is able to perform the tasks in the workplace they were previously responsible for. We then focus rehabilitation on strengthening anything that may hinder the patient's ability to perform these tasks and advise employers on steps they can take to improve the patient's functionality in the workplace, such as increasing or changing break times, decreasing work hours, etc. This promotes a gradual return to work which ensure a smooth return and prevents frustration and unrealistic expectations.
